Rye Country Day School is seeking a Part Time Percussion Teacher for the Private Lesson Program at the school beginning immediately. Competitive applicants will be comfortable teaching a variety of ages and levels and bring a warmth and enthusiasm to their work. Lessons are taught both during the school day and after school. Instructors are paid on a per lesson basis and teach on campus in the beautiful Performing Arts Center at the school.
A very flexible schedule is required to allow for scheduling within the schools 6-day schedule rotation. This position reports in tandem to the Private Lesson Coordinator and Music Department Head.
Specific duties include:
- Teaching private percussion lessons to RCDS students on a full range of percussion instruments.
- Being consistent and reliable in teaching the scheduled lessons
- Being communicative with parents and guardians
- Maintaining precise records for billing
- Creating recitals for their studio
- Positive energy and flexibility
- Participating in all-employee trainings
