Summary North Park University, a member of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, would like to announce that applications are now being accepted for the position of Softball - Graduate Assistant. The assistantship will begin in August 2023 and includes tuition remission, a partial meal plan, and a $3,000 stipend per semester.
Responsibilities - Assist the head coach with the daily operations of the softball program at North Park University.
- Analyze performance and instruct athletes in softball techniques and strategies in preparation for and during athletics competition.
- Monitor all phases of competitive NCAA and CCIW compliance recruiting.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and the campus community.
- Help monitor academic progress of all student-athletes on the team.
- Execute practice and game planning/evaluation, including video coordination and breakdown.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Assistant Vice President for Athletics and Sport Management, and Associate and Assistant Athletic Directors.
Requirements - Bachelors degree.
- Ability to work an untraditional work schedule (i.e., frequent nights and weekends).
- Must obtain acceptance in North Park University graduate program.
- Coaching experience or playing experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of softball at the intercollegiate level.
- A valid drivers license.
- Committed to and an articulate supporter of the universitys mission, identity, and Christian faith commitment.
- Personal commitment to North Parks mission of Christian higher education.
