At Energy Aspects, our talented people and teams are at the core of our success. We are seeking an experienced Sales Training Specialist to join our team and support the growth of our sales organisation globally.

In this critical role, you will design and deliver onboarding programs to rapidly integrate new sales hires, accelerating their understanding of our business and products and in so doing reducing time to revenue. You will equip them with the knowledge, tools, and connections to hit the ground running. Your ability to provide an exceptional onboarding experience will enable their sales productivity and accelerate growth.

To excel in this position, you should be intrinsically driven to enhance the onboarding experience. We're looking for someone who is passionate about arming colleagues with the essential tools, insights, and connections, ensuring they hit the ground running. You will employ empathy, organisation, and communication skills to help new hires and existing Sales colleagues improve their understanding of products, people, and process, creating an environment where new hires quickly feel integrated and valued. Additionally, this role requires some flexibility to occasionally work outside core hours to support new joiners in distant time zones.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

You'll be working directly with our sales management teams globally in order to develop and deliver new training content and programmes. Overtime, your day-to-day role will include:

  • Delivering onboarding and sales training programmes including 1:1 instructional design (at desk, or virtual), classroom, and e-learning, achieving high scoring evaluation ratings and feedback.
  • Instructional design 1:1 (at desk, or virtual), classroom, and e-learning.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to plan work and solicit feedback and requirements.
  • Conducting skills gap analysis to identify areas of improvement by working closely with the sales team to identify challenges they face on-the job.
  • Proactively conduct refresher and new training for sales teams, upload new sales tools, resources, and information to support sales growth.
  • Partner with Learning and Development to coordinate events, conferences, and professional development for the global sales teams.
  • Conduct Salesforce CRM training for new joiners and adhoc refreshers in consultation with sales operations.
  • Design, develop and execute a consistent Sales Methodology for our global sales team.
  • Develop training programs: design and facilitate comprehensive training programs that cover various aspects of sales, including product knowledge, value proposition, objection handling, negotiation techniques, and closing strategies.
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars to train new hires and existing sales team members on sales methodologies, product features, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Utilize a variety of training methods, such as presentations, role-playing, case studies, and e-learning modules, to maximize learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the sales leadership team to identify areas for improvement in the sales process and develop training materials to address those gaps.
  • Continuously update and refine training content to ensure it aligns with the evolving sales strategies and market trends.
  • Develop an onboarding program for new sales hires, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the company's research services, target market, sales tools, and processes. Provide ongoing support and coaching to new hires to accelerate their ramp-up time and ensure their success.
  • Together with senior sales management team monitor the performance of the sales team to identify individual skill gaps or areas for improvement. Conduct assessments, role plays, and other evaluation methods to gauge the effectiveness of training programs and measure the impact on sales performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product management, to develop sales enablement tools and resources, such as sales playbooks, objection handling guides, competitive battle cards, and product training materials. Ensure these resources are easily accessible to the sales team on digital platforms.
  • In conjunction with senior sales leaders provide one-on-one coaching to the sales team to help them improve their sales techniques, overcome challenges, and achieve their targets. Conduct coaching sessions to reinforce training concepts and provide constructive feedback.
  • Stay current with Industry trends: Keep up to date with the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in the industry and with sales methodologies.
  • Continuously enhance your own knowledge and skills to effectively train and guide the sales team.

About You:

  • 3+ years managing sales onboarding, preferably in a rapidly scaling organisation.
  • Deep understanding of sales techniques, methodologies, tools, and enablement strategies.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills; ability to deliver impactful virtual and in-person training.
  • Empathetic team-player able to connect new hires to key resources.
  • Analytical skills to evaluate program effectiveness and enhance based on data.
  • Excellent project management and organisational abilities.
  • Passion for supporting new team members and enabling sales excellence.
  • High level of discipline to work practices and an eye for detail.
  • You should have a results-orientated mindset with a focus on driving sales performance.
