NAA is seeking a Membership Coordinator to join its team!

Overview

The Membership Coordinator provides administrative support for the National Adoption Association (NAA) member services and general operations support. This position works in-office at the Linthicum office and reports directly to the Sr. Member Engagement Specialist. The Membership Coordinator will also work closely with the Financial Specialist as a support to the operations team.

Because all children need families, the National Adoption Association (NAA) serves its members by stimulating innovative solutions, eliminating barriers, advocating, educating, and sharing excellent practice. Our central goal is to assist and encourage our members nationwide as they find adoptive families for all children and youth who wait in foster care.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Member Onboarding & Support. Onboard new NAA members. Create and send invoices to members. Track all payments. Send communications to members as needed. Input and update members accounts and the staff list directory. Maintain member data in management system and verify accuracy of member data records.
  2. Website & Social Media Support. Using AMS and content management tools, update the website as needed. Promote upcoming continuing education sessions on social media channels and websites. Monitor news feed and link helpful information through YM.
  3. Education & Webinar Support. Promote webinars through email campaigns and act as the point of contact for any registration needs. Provide practice sessions for webinar hosts, technical assistance during the webinar and collect data as needed. Develop applications for continuing education units to be offered in conjunction with member meetings.
  4. Event & Meeting Coordination. Hold internal meetings to plan logistics for member events including biennial conference, think tanks and virtual events, use workplan to monitor deliverables and timelines, work with Board committee to manage projects, work with hotel and CSM, provide day-of support for in-person and technical support for virtual convenings. Coordinate as a team and review workplan for major meetings, including meetings where NAA plans to exhibit and promote itself.
  5. Administrative Support. Provide general administrative support including office mail and supplies, among other office support as needed, at the request of the Financial Specialist.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience with proven track record of managing event/meeting logistics, memberships and constituency services and administrative support.
  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred but not required. Additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior non-profit or child welfare experience highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft OfficeMS Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with Zoom, Slack, Trello, Google Workspace, project management tools and overall familiarity and comfort with technology.
  • Expert level fluency in client relationship database software programs. YourMembership (YM) AMS database experience highly preferred.
  • Ability to contribute to a strong team-based environment.
  • Results-oriented with a high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred HTML coding experience.
  • Passion about the children, families, and jurisdictions served by NAA.

Additional Notes

Work is expected to be performed in the Linthicum MD. office. This position may require occasional evenings and weekends. NAA conducts child protective services and sex offender registry checks on all employees.

The Membership Coordinator salary is $47,000.
