As the Inventory and Distribution Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our operations by managing the purchasing and inventory tracking system to ensure seamless deliveries, shipments, and stock level maintenance. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribution Center Inventory Management:
    • Analyze current stock at distribution centers to meet customer demands.
    • Collaborate with Purchasing and Sales to optimize incoming product reception locations.
    • Determine Min Max requirements for products to ensure efficient inventory levels.
    • Identify and monitor slow-moving inventory.
    • Monitor and assess transfers between locations for efficacy.
  • Warehouse Operations Management:
    • Review and recommend improvements to internal warehouse processes.
    • Maintain accurate process and procedure documentation.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Operations to align with distribution facility needs.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of facility capital projects.
  • Phocus Analytics Program Champion:
    • Collaborate with the purchasing department to develop reports that aid in the procurement process.
    • Maintain and develop requested Phocus reports.
    • Contribute to the development of Scorecard tracking reports.
  • Royal 4 System Implementation and Management:
    • Lead communication with the Royal 4 system team.
    • Define and oversee implementation procedures for each location.
    • Manage and communicate a detailed timeline for implementation.
    • Coordinate necessary changes with location managers.
    • Create, maintain, and update process and procedure documents related to Royal 4.
    • Research, recommend, and procure equipment related to system operations.
  • Inter/Intra-Company Distribution Logistics:
    • Review current situations to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
    • Collaborate with Location Managers and Sales to determine appropriate inventory levels.
    • Analyze and determine optimal solutions for future needs.
    • Research and recommend equipment solutions.
  • Support for Purchasing Team:
    • Assist with phones and customer support as needed.
  • Additional Duties: This position may involve other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Adaptive personality with a quick ability to learn and apply new strategies.
  • Minimum of 3 years of purchasing and warehousing/distribution experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resourceful, energetic, driven, and structured.
  • Experience in the Tire Industry is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, operational, and planning skills.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Eligibility to perform the work required in the assigned locations in accordance with all respective laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Possess and maintain an insurable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 75-125lbs occasionally.
  • May be exposed to bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the day.
