The Brand & Marketing department at WS is partnering with the Leasing team to consult, strategize and deliver best-in-class pitch materials that bring the most loved, interesting and lucrative brands to our places. As a dynamic and analytical individual who thrives on translating data into meaningful insights, you will help us craft data-backed stories to drive Leasing success across our retail-led, mixed-use portfolio of 100+ properties.

What to expect

At this time we are only considering local candidates. This position is hybrid with the expectation of being in office at least 3 days a week. This role will allow you to participate in strategic conversations including how to attract an operator in a specific use category, a specific brand, prove or disprove a theory, bolster an argument, teach us more about our communities, and enhance our evergreen leasing pitches with quantitative information. You will bring our marketing collateral to the next level by mastering our data platforms & resources and helping us to infuse findings into our storylines. Your ability to analyze data, utilize advanced software tools, and generate actionable recommendations will be instrumental in our continued success

Your Responsibilities will include

  • You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting market data to provide strategic insights that drive our commercial real estate leasing operations.
  • Responding to data inquiries from multiple departments, including Leasing, Brand Partnerships and Field Marketing teams thereby acting as an internal account service representative.
  • Being the main company resource dedicated to working with location data platform, Placer.ai.
  • Pulling census data to ensure collateral reflects the most current demographic information.
  • Organizing data from both resources, summarizing key insights and making recommendations on how to leverage the information clearly and effectively.
  • Conducting additional research related to the markets & customers we serve, including migration trends, tourism & seasonality, employee populations, housing trends and more.
  • Staying informed of industry trends and information-sharing across departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably within the commercial real estate or related industry. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization techniques.
  • Experience working with census data, market research tools & data analysis software such as Placer.ai, SitesUSA or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Eagerness and a genuine curiosity to learn the business and contribute to team and company goals. A passion for real estate, market trends, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
