Behavioral Health Solutions is a leading provider of healthcare services dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our patients. We are committed to delivering high-quality care through our team of skilled healthcare providers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Healthcare Clinical Trainer to join our team and play a vital role in onboarding new providers, including PMHNPs, FNPs, PAs and AGACNPs.


Job Summary:

The Healthcare Clinical Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering comprehensive training programs to support the onboarding and ongoing professional development of nurse practitioners within our behavioral healthcare organization. This role will ensure that new providers receive the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver outstanding patient care, while also helping existing staff members stay current with best practices and emerging healthcare trends.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Create and maintain training materials, modules, and resources tailored to the specific needs of nurse practitioners in a behavioral health setting.
  • Onboarding: Facilitate the orientation and onboarding process for new nurse practitioners, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of our organization's policies, procedures, and standards of care.
  • Clinical Skills Training: Conduct hands-on training sessions and create on-demand pre-recorded trainings to enhance clinical skills, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all training programs adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements, including licensure and certification standards.
  • Continuing Education: Develop and implement ongoing training and professional development programs to keep existing nurse practitioners up-to-date with the latest healthcare advancements and best practices.
  • Evaluation: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, evaluations, and performance metrics, and make improvements as needed.
  • Mentorship: Provide one-on-one coaching and mentorship to support the growth and development of individual nurse practitioners.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, clinical leadership, and subject matter experts, to identify training needs and align training initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and nurse practitioner progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in behavioral healthcare.
  • Previous experience in healthcare training, education, or instructional design preferred.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
  • Thorough technical skills with Electronic Medical Records systems (Athena preferred).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other training software/tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000 annual salary.
