The Vice President, Residential Services provides operational oversight, guidance, and support to the Directors and Assistant Directors of the Residential program. This position is responsible for shaping the services that are provided in line with our mission, vision, and values. A data-informed approach will be modeled to create systems that accurately reflect the needs of the program. Support the creation of equitable programs and practices to ensure consistency in the implementation of policies and procedures that impact the agency.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Services or related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • At least ten years of residential experience.
  • At least five years experience in leadership position
  • Current working knowledge of OPWDD and DOH regulations; applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes and regulations.
  • Must be able to display a high level of discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential information with superior emotional intelligence.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that services are delivered in a manner that maximizes effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identifies ways to be more responsive to referral sources.
  • Develops and drives department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures with a focus on service delivery and outcomes.
  • Provides regular updates to the families of people supported as necessary.
  • Collaborates with agency leadership to develop solutions to complex situations.
  • Represents the residential program to governmental bodies in the community in town boards and applicable groups.
  • Reviews and evaluates work methods and procedures for improving organizational performance, organizational effectiveness, and productivity; identify and resolve problems and/or issues.
  • Supports special projects and committees including but not limited to CQL, Self-Advocacy, DEI, Human Rights, Incident Review, and Employee Appreciation.
  • Manages department staff including the delegation of tasks and assignments, foster teamwork, collaboration, and innovation; and inspire excellent performance.
  • Serves as a mentor to develop and motivate direct reports by setting clear expectations and work standards.
  • Works closely with senior team members to promote effective communication, facilitate information sharing and collaborative problem-solving methods.
  • Assists in the development and management of data management tools and analytics and supporting a knowledge sharing system and working environment.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant federal, state and local regulations as well as agency and program policies

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000
