Mobile App Engineering at Womack

The Electrical Application Engineer is responsible for being a technical product expert for heavy machinery electronic products offered. Works with the Sales team to satisfy Customer requirements and ensures successful application of products.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Serve our customers with expert knowledge of mobile electronics, controls, and programming
  • Present technical solutions to our customers in collaboration with our Sales team
  • Provide design and specification of complete mobile electronic solutions mobile controls and e-mobility
  • Maintain timely response for technical and functional requirements
  • Create an in-depth understanding of each application and convey these requirements to all stakeholders
  • Perform technical/product/application training as required to develop our salespeople as well as enhancing our customers understanding of our products and solutions
  • Maintain accurate records and follow design policies and procedures
  • Travel to project and customer sites to present technical solutions as well as start-up assistance, integration, prototyping, and training services
  • Establish proficiency in Bosch Rexroth mobile electronics and programming support tools


Additional Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the companys mission, values, and financial objectives
  • Maintain professional business relationships within target accounts

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent mobile electronics education and/or experience
  • 4+ years of recent experience in an application or product technology role in the hydraulic industry required
  • OEM and mobile hydraulics experience required
  • Mobile controls programming experience required

  • Ability to develop and maintain an expert level of applications and product knowledge
  • Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints
  • Knowledgeable of industry standards and practices that apply to control system design and implementation
  • Knowledgeable of standards, policies, and procedures, and ensures appropriate use of them
  • Ability to work effectively in both an individual and team environments
  • Possesses excellent communication skills and customer rapport
  • Possesses excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Possesses strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to take ownership of and resolve challenging technical support issues
  • Ability to work on multiple, simultaneous projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solid Works, & MS Office Products
  • Understands, follows, and continuously promotes safe work practices


Travel Requirements

  • Regular overnight travel required (40-50%); work outside normal business hours required from time to time.
