The Position We are seeking a Wax Material Handler on 1st shift for the Wax Department. You will be responsible for receipt of tanker wax deliveries, maintenance of wax silos, and preparation of wax components for batching.
Rate of Pay This position pays $18.00/hr. The Hours
This position works First shift Monday through Thursday, 5:00am-3:00pm. These hours can vary based on the needs of the business. The Location
We are located at 51 Scarborough Lane, Milford, NH. This position is onsite with no work from home capability. Who We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who has previous experience with material handling. If you have previous forklift experience, that's a plus, but anyone considered for the job must be willing to become forklift certified. Ideally, we are looking for 6-12 months of experience in a material handling role. You must be comfortable with basic math functions, working as a team, and able to lift 50 lbs. independently to be successful at this position. Additional Job Details - Receives deliveries of raw wax from tankers to the silo farm and handles the preparation and transfer of wax as necessary.
- Picks materials as called for to meet department demand.
- Uses a fork truck to transport materials in the warehouse and on the production floor.
- Makes all appropriate inventory movements using scan guns or the desktop IFS program; cycle counting as required as part of inventory management.
- Prepares other major wax components for batch making.
- Completes required paperwork timely and accurately.
- Ensure that all wax equipment (hoses, clamps, nozzles, pumps; electrical cords, plugs, wax tanks, etc.) are properly cleaned, stored, and serviceable at all times.
- Reports equipment defects and failures to supervision, batch maker, or maintenance immediately.
- Maintains Alene standards of performance and complies with housekeeping, safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by Wax Supervisor.
Requirements Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 6-12 months of experience; previous experience with material handling experience highly desired
- Previous fork truck experience highly desired, but must be willing to become fork truck certified
- Must be able to unload pallets of components into melting tanks in 50 and 10 pound increments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
