Utilizing your proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Word, Excel, ICD-10, CPT-4, and Encoder, to accurately code medical records.

Applying your expertise in coding guidelines, payor guidelines, and federal billing guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, and disease processes to code diagnoses and procedures effectively.

Conducting research to address coding-related issues and contributing to coder training and development.

Utilizing your CCS certification and familiarity with 3M/HDS coding applications to streamline the coding process.

Leveraging your inpatient and emergency department (ED) coding experience to code a variety of medical records effectively.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

A minimum of three years of medical coding experience with knowledge of ICD-10 coding.

High School Diploma/GED as the educational requirement.

Certification through AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association).

Reside in the state of New York to ensure regional compliance with healthcare regulations.
