With opportunities for continuing education and career advancement, Mayo Clinic provides an environment that fosters innovation, stands against racism, promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion, and offers the resources you need to succeed. **Responsibilities** - Location: Mary Brigh Building, St. Marys Hospital Campus - The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Radiology Pre/Post department will utilize their nursing assessment skills to care for a diverse range of patients, including infants to the elderly, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. - The RN will provide care to patients undergoing diagnostic imaging scans and complex radiologic procedures, conducting detailed nursing assessments and assisting in patient recovery post-procedure. - Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, technologists, nurses, and others is essential. - Preferred experience in IV starts, procedures, nursing assessment, recovery from sedation, and cardiac monitoring, although not required. - This position welcomes both experienced nurses and new graduates. - New graduate applicants should include any relevant clinical experience in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) on their resume. **Qualifications** - Must be a student or graduate of an accredited nursing program recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). - Nurses with non-accredited nursing program degrees must possess at least one year of RN experience in a relevant care setting. - Entry-level associate degree registered nurses with an RN start date on or after April 1, 2020, must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program within five years. - Entry-level associate degree registered nurses with an RN start date prior to April 1, 2020, must provide documented evidence of program completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program as required at the time of hire. **Additional Qualifications and Requirements** - Preferably one year of RN experience in an applicable care setting, or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work in a team environment with proficiency in computer skills and prior experience with electronic medical record systems. - Flexibility to work varied hours, including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call shifts. - Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations in the work setting and demonstrate leadership, effective communication, and strong critical thinking skills. - Physical capability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds. - BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred.
