Job description
Are you a highly self-motivated individual with a desire to make impactful business decisions? If so, we have a great opportunity for an entry level Media Sales Consultant. Standard Media/ABC6 WLNE-TV in Providence is hiring an Account Executive who will become a trusted advisor to local businesses. You will be tasked with helping local business leaders grow their companies through the sale of broadcast TV and digital media advertising solutions.

You will be supported and supervised by our Director of Sales who is extremely passionate about helping business professionals achieve success and earn commission. In addition, you will work alongside and interact with amazing, talented people who know how to come together, help each other, socialize, and celebrate wins. The diversity and challenges within advertising sales means there is never a boring day.
Your Responsibilities:
Create a strategic business plan with your manager to prospect for new clients and achieve revenue goals.
Develop multi-media advertising solutions for local businesses that deliver results to their bottom line.
Effectively negotiate with business leaders.
Always maintain an acceptable sales pipeline as designated by management.
Utilize Sales Assistant to provide exceptional customer service to clients.
Collaborate with Sales Assistant to provide timely schedule maintenance including accuracy of orders, make-goods, posts, and accurate traffic instructions. All training is provided.
Maintain appropriate CRM information.
Use all station-provided sales tools & software, including Kantar, NSI, the station’s digital product suite including ABC6.COM, all mobile platforms, extended reach, and E-Mail marketing. All training is provided.
Job Requirements:
College Degree Preferred.
Creativity, flexibility, and ability to adapt to change.
Communicates effectively with external clients and internal personnel, using strong organizational skills.
High energy, self-motivated and committed to continual learning and growth.
Strong ability to work independently, and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving history, as well as reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
