Role Description

This is a 100% remote contract role for an AWS Architect. The AWS Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining AWS infrastructure, as well as ensuring its security, reliability and performance. The AWS Architect will also collaborate with other members of the team on various projects, manage AWS infrastructure, and provide support to other teams as needed.

Job Description

• AWS engineering and tier 3 operational support experience.
• Experienced in providing technical solutions to the applications hosted in the AWS cloud environment.
• Prior Migration Experience to the AWS environment is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex problems using native AWS services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC Flowlogs, and Server Access logs.
• AWS networking experience (Direct Connect, Cloudwan, Transit Gateway, Gateway Load Balancer, etc.)

Commitment to best practices and striving for the elimination of manual operational processes to promote a DevOps oriented software delivery model.

An AWS Certification, however strong experience with a desire to complete certification will also be considered.

Prior experience with implementing enterprise cloud management platforms(link removed)>

• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including but not limited to core IaaS (IAM, VPC, EC2, EBS, ELB) and native AWS PaaS Services (S3, Lambda, EMR, SageMaker, Athena, Glue, EKS)
• Experience working in large, multi-cloud environments.
• Ability to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• DevOps/coding skills in at least one of: Python 3.x, CloudFormation, Terraform, or GitHub Actions.

Experience with REST APIs to support integration of infrastructure, cloud, and platform as a service technology.

Experience with containers and container orchestration, Kubernetes, and Docker, including lifecycle management of containers.

Knowledge of web security, and networking protocols and Experience with web-based applications and/or web services-based applications.

• Act as a Technical consultant and subject matter expert for Project Managers, Developers, and Engineering teams, to resolve technical obstacles and contribute to improvement
