Field Service/Installer Technician - Akron, OH - JOB 440-24-00357

Salary: $30.00 to $35.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits.

Travel is domestic only no overseas. Total of couple days or a week each month.

The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, training, troubleshooting, and repairing extrusion equipment at customer sites. Expertise in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' extrusion processes. Must possess excellent technical knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Travel as required to provide installation assistance and customer troubleshooting.
• Attempt to minimize travel by working with engineering and operations to provide superb install technical documentation.
• Also, collaborate with Engineering/Lab/Sales to ensure the customer is qualified and prepared to operate our equipment.
• Understand all technical documentation and assist in its preparation (manuals)
• Perform internal machine assembly and checkout.
• Work in lab or with customer trials as required.
• Operate CNC machinery when time permits.
• Field: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic issues to identify root cause of problem.
• Field: Train customer personnel in the safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
• Field: Document all service activities including maintenance records, customer feedback, and opportunities for machine improvement.
