Resource Innovations is seeking an Energy Efficiency Outreach Manager to join our growing team in Massachusetts. As an Outreach Manager with Resource Innovations, you will strategize and implement outreach initiatives to maximize customer participation in utility energy efficiency offerings. The Outreach Manager oversees Outreach Representatives, and also acts as an active Outreach Representative who will be a key contact to support, train and recruit companies who sell energy efficiency equipment and services to customers. This Outreach Manager position will focus primarily on non-residential lighting. The Outreach Manager will collaborate with the Program Manager and other team leads in meeting client needs and contractual expectations.

Part relationship-builder and part problem-solver, you will work to maximize participation in utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs. This role has similarities to a sales manager position, but targets are measured in participation and energy savings. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Train, support, and manage Outreach Representatives
  • Strategically plan initiatives, efforts, and tactics that the outreach team will implement to build and maintain a pipeline of energy efficiency projects.
  • Coordinate with other team leads (Program Manager, Marketing Lead, Application Processing Lead, Software Lead) to have a unified strategy
  • Maintain and manage CRM to track and store outreach interactions and contacts
  • Develop, manage and strengthen relationships with customers and contractors
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to recruit new contractors
  • Ensures the outreach team operates compliantly with program rules and contract requirements
  • Build and submit progress reports to Program Manager
  • Edit and format program documents and reports for grammar, typographical errors, and professional presentation.
  • Conduct outreach, educate and assist customers and contractors so they may effectively participate in and promote utility energy-efficient Lighting programs.
  • Deliver sales and program training presentations to provide customers and contractors with an understanding of the value of incentive programs.
  • Help customers and contractors identify qualifying projects and associated incentives.
  • Support customers' and contractors application completion, submission, and follow up.
  • Answer program inquiries
  • Train and support contractors to use new software tools.
  • Be familiar with lighting technology trends, market challenges, and opportunities to provide suggestions to guide program planning and strategies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associates degree or 5 years industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a related field such as professional sales, account management, marketing, business management, customer service or project management
  • Have a valid U.S. drivers license and a personal vehicle to visit contractor and customer sites.
  • Must be able to travel locally.
  • Able to work out of your home during the times you are not out in the field working with contractors and customers.
  • Proficient in communicating via various means: face-to-face, phone, text/chat messages, email, online meetings, small group and large group settings.
  • Experience in drafting strategies, plans, and recommendations. Presenting and defending recommendations. Adjusting/Fine tuning plans and then successfully implementing
  • Ability to use software solutions to support efforts: Excel tools and spreadsheets, online applications, CRM platforms, PowerPoint, etc.
  • A background in construction, lighting, building controls, utility Demand Side Management (DSM), energy efficiency design, or other building-related experience is preferred.
  • Able to self-manage in a professional environment and take the initiative to get stuff done or try something new.
  • Humbly confident with an uncanny ability to quickly build trusting relationships, sell concepts at all levels of an organization, and manage multiple time-dependent tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong proficiency in developing and delivering formal presentations.
