The job of the Data Research Associate is to maintain the health of MediaRadars proprietary brand database, including categorization, organizational structure and nomenclature. This position will require the associate to complete assigned audits, draft documentation, conduct root cause analysis, troubleshoot problems, and assist on related projects as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to manage their own day to day workflow, be a strong writer, and have great attention to detail.

A successful day in this position is completing industry research on mergers and acquisition , finding creative solutions for acquiring timely and accurate company information, evaluating the root cause of common errors found, and proposing mistake proofing solutions.

Requirements

What Youll Do:

  • Enact timely structural updates in the database based on company ownership and division research
  • Research, write and send Merger and Acquisition reports, to be shared with clients
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for external and internal brand categorization and brand database structure
  • Manage a pipeline of quality audits and projects. This includes:
  • Completing assigned weekly Quality Assurance and Quality Control audits within expected performance metrics
  • Documenting and communicating quality defects and issues to relevant teams
  • Writing and editing documentation as needed
  • Assisting with the compilation of weekly data conformance reports for leadership
  • Scope and create research projects for overseas vendor
  • Assist in the execution of strategic work as needed and as requested for special projects
  • Maintain a portfolio of documentation to assist overseas vendor
  • Identify and escalate continuous improvement projects as requested to improve the departments workflow, efficiency, and accuracy
  • Actively maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the company

Who You Are:

  • You possess the ability to write for large international vendor audiences and clients
  • Strong proficiency in Excel. In particular formulas, pivot tables and data validation
  • You proactively ask questions for clarity, communicate errors, and implement process improvements
  • You actively utilize and provide feedback on the tools provided
  • You have the ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, change centric environment
  • You are organized with a strong attention to detail
  • You have a strong sense of time management, able to manage discrete projects and daily tasks
  • You have a working knowledge of the Microsoft and Google Suite of programs
  • You work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Nice to Haves (but not required!):

  • Familiarity with DMAIC
  • You have relevant experience in Process Improvement, Quality Auditing, etc.

  • Base compensation for this role is $45,000
