UCP Oregon is an exciting and empowering place to work. We help adults who experience developmental disabilities to live the life of their dreamswhether thats living independently, working in a great job, or pursuing their interests and hobbies.
Were currently seeking a temporary weekend caregiver Personal Assistant for a young man who experiences developmental disabilities. He is a fun and active young man who currently lives with his parents in a lovely home in NW Portland.
Youll assist with feeding, bathing and hygiene, dressing, and administering medications. Youll also help him do lots of fun activities in the community, such as going for rides on the Max and strolling around downtown and NW Portland. Youll also visit the beautiful Multnomah Athletic Club almost every day. Note: A car isnt required on the job, but is heavily preferred, because his home is hard to get to via mass transit. You will not be using your car to transport this young man but it is easier to reach his home location via car.
Youll work three shifts totaling 30 hours per week: Thursday 3pm-9pm, Friday and Saturday 9am-9pm. *Youll also work your regular hours on Agency holidays. This position is temporary and will end on 2/24/2024.

Requirements - High school diploma or GED.
- Be able to pass our pre-hiring screenings, including a reference check, a physical with a lifting test of 50lbs, and a criminal history background check.
- Driving is optionalif choosing to drive for UCP, you must be at least 18 years old, have a current drivers license, a reliable personal vehicle, at least two years of driving experience, auto insurance, and a clean driving record.
- Experience in the mental health or developmental disability field preferred, but not required.
Benefits - $19.00 per hour(link removed)>
- Eligible for overtime pay for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
- Holiday pay (double pay for the first 12 hours of any agency holiday shift that you work).
