My name is Chad and I am the Managing Director of ABT Financial Consultants LLC - a Public Accounting Firm based out of Phoenix, Arizona, United States. We are looking to hire a motivated Senior Sr. Accounting Manager who is very confident and very well-versed in professional accounting and bookkeeping practices. Our ideal candidate is responsible, organized, and someone who enjoys improving systems. Someone who is a bit of a chaser, and making sure things get done. We want someone who can be effective, responsible, and good at their job without being aggressive.

Requirements

We are looking for a Senior Sr. Accounting Manager specifically with these requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A minimum of a bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license desired
  • Has at least 5+ years of related accounting experience
  • Has at least 3+ years of hands-on management experience including hiring, training, and developing a highly engaged service-oriented team while multi-tasking large projects
  • Has at least 3+ years of experience working in the public accounting, saas, and fintech space
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Has the capacity and commitment to work 35 - 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday
  • Proven ability to attract, build, and retain a high-performance team
  • Experience in developing strong remote team relationships based on trust, accountability, integrity, and sharing of best practices
  • Commitment to consistently follow established policies and procedures while holding team members accountable to do the same
  • Has experience using Xero, QuickBooks (Enterprise and Online), (link removed), Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and others



Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Providing exceptional accounting and operational service to our clients
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of professional accounting and bookkeeping practices
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in technologies to deliver outstanding quality service
  • Overseeing client onboarding process for all assigned client engagements in accordance with the defined process
  • Implementing the companys technology toolbox as applicable on all client engagements to drive efficiency and client value
  • Serve as a resource to all assigned team members for guidance on client tasks and/or resolution of client issues
  • Monitoring team member's performance by reviewing the quality of work, adherence to protocols, timeliness of deliverables, and adherence to client budgets. Provide coaching and feedback as needed.
  • Supporting clients evolving requirements by educating clients on ABT Financial Consultants deep and varied expertise in accounting and operational services
  • Managing the hiring process for remote accountants assigned to you. This will include reviewing pre-screened candidates, interviewing, (calling references), and providing timely feedback
  • Orienting and training newly assigned accountants in accordance with standard processes. Provide ongoing coaching to deliver superior outsourced accounting and operational services
  • Balancing workflow by aligning client needs with accountants expertise and capacity in accordance with predetermined budgets. Confer with the Managing Director regarding any potential capacity issues in order to take proactive measures to ensure success
  • Reviewing accountants work to ensure the highest quality of service to clients
  • Maintaining profit margin for assigned clients and team
  • Scheduling and leading annual performance reviews in accordance with the defined process
