Job Purpose and Impact


The Senior Financial Risk Analyst will lead the financial risk management in commodity, foreign exchange risks and trading profit and loss for the defined businesses and areas. In this role, you will partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement the key controls to ensure operational compliance and accuracy of data and reports. You will lead the process standardization and optimization and develop new solutions to enhance automation and implement the transformation.


Key Accountabilities

Partner with key stakeholders to manage complex commodity and foreign exchange position reporting and reconciliation and ensure any significant differences are resolved and communicated appropriately.Collaborate with business stakeholders to monitor commodity and foreign exchange exposure and ensure completeness of all the complex financial reporting within deadlines and compare against limits, escalate, and resolve breaches of limits.Validate reports and reconcile trading profit and loss by line of impact with key stakeholders.Ensure compliance of operations and monitor points of control.Develop and implement process simplification, enhance process standardization, optimize reporting, and drive automation and transformation processes.Lead risk management best practices and improvement initiatives.Build the team's capability to ensure a high performing (link removed)dependently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.Other duties as assigned.

Base Salary - USD $95,000 to $120,000

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Trade Product Control (internal term which is equivalent to "Financial Risk Analyst") sits within risk management alongside market and credit risk. The purpose is to enable trading and risk management activities and strengthen the risk culture within Cargill. TPC operates on a global basis- 155 people in their domain supporting all enterprises. Grain, oil feeds, protein, energy, internal energy optimization. People who support the trading activities of those enterprises- fx, derivatives and compliance- initiatives and compliance space is what were looking for alongside Deb. Foundation is related back to trading activities.

  • Regulatory compliance- compliance and operational understanding of derivatives- OTC, commodities, exchange/fx
  • transaction reporting to regulatory - CFTC for regulatory compliance for trading. European or ESMA or FCA is also good
  • Control mindset- standardize reporting.
  • NOT logistics, tax or imports/exports/customs!
  • Trading transactional reporting, exchange traded derivatives
  • Working with traders, commercial COEs and other business on new business opportunities and the risk assessments for trade flows
  • Some training involved, knowledge sharing, presenting formally


    Skills:
    • Risk mindset
    • Research and understand complex regulations and translate or train on it
    • Conceptual thinker, problem solver

    Duties:
    • No daily actives or transactions, more on the advising side working with TPC teams to be sure they can execute on the daily transactions- project based and support

    Stakeholders
    • Derivatives and compliance COE team- 30 people globally - responsible for monitoring and surveillance- they can use them for questions on regulatory questions
    • Traders, commercials- look at due diligence on new trade flows or trade opportunities.
