MES Syncade Engineer

Location: Lafayette, Indiana

Duration: 6 Months

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Emerson Syncade.
  • Essential experience with CGMP and manufacturing operations and practices.
  • Proficiency in User Requirements Management Activities, MES Solutions Testing Activities, and supporting MES implementations.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate technical design and engineering implementation of project work.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Facilities, Quality, IT, and other relevant groups to determine business requirements and set the strategic direction for MES capabilities.
  • This role will be remote, working for a pharmaceutical company based in Boston, MA.
  • The hired individual will need to work during EST hours.
  • Ensure rigorous testing of new configuration features based on structured risk assessments.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes, equipment, systems, and infrastructure by leveraging and setting industry best practices.
  • Develop and maintain GMP system documentation and manage supporting compliance activities.
  • Assist in developing business cases for MES deployments.
  • Contribute to the development of internal MES practice processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Consult and lead end-users in MES best practices, particularly in the application of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Provide ongoing consultation on continuous improvements to business stakeholders and advisors.
  • Establish process flow standards in MES by working with process/product owners.
