Role - Web Application Programmer Location - Tallahassee,Florida Interview - Phone+skype Visa - All (Onsite Job) Note - Only local candidates in Florida Job Description: Background: The department is committed to providing high quality education services to all Florida students, and requires a Web Applications Developer to assist the Department and Technology staff in meeting that goal. Deliverables / Tasks: Assists in developing specifications as well as, overall planning and management of projects. Meets with leadership to provide status reports on a weekly basis and provides monthly written reports which will include accomplishments, areas of concern, and recommended solutions. Communicate project progress and information to team, sponsor, stakeholders, and legislative body as appropriate. Ensures technical direction and standards are being followed. Assures that project documentation includes the project plans, budgets, risk plans, communication plans, change control logs, and reports. Demonstrates an understanding of tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions. Manages change control within the projects. Obtains sponsor approval for changes to scope, budget, and schedule that effect the critical path. Written documentation showing testing and verification of modifications to ensure that objectives are met. Note: The staff augmentation consultants are required to be off the week of Christmas and New Year unless services are required with prior leadership approval. Consultants working or acting on behalf of the Department shall comply with Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.) and fully comply with all information technology security policies. Consultants shall also fully comply with 60GG-2 F.A.C. Information Technology Standards. Candidate(s) must successfully pass a Level 2 criminal background investigation (to be paid for by consultant), including fingerprinting, statewide and national criminal history records check prior to beginning work Travel: Candidates will not be required to travel.
