General job duties: RN med/surg level care of patients 18 and over. May float to surg peds or transitional care units.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept: Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, chest tubes, etc.Required skills and minimum years of experience: 2 + years' med surg or higher level of care. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required: BLS required, ACLS is preferred.Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept: Medical - 50 Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: Medical 1:5 Dress Code: Professional nursing attire. No specific scrub colors. Closed toe shoes.Department specific training and orientation program: Included in the first week of orientation.

Shift: Day Shift -15-week contract - Scheduled 36 hours per week following first full week of orientation - Will be required to work various shift lengths and various days. Must be flexible. No guarantee of hours. No guarantee of shift preference.
