WHO ARE WE?

Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to Californias most vulnerable individuals, with an emphasis on those transitioning from, or at risk of, homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. We implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veterans services, and health care sectors.

WHAT IS A DEPUTY CHIEF PROGRAM OFFICER, PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT?

Brilliant Corners is seeking a highly motivated and visionary Deputy Chief Program Officer of Program Development to co-lead our state-wide Housing Services Department. In this crucial role, you will lead our efforts in standardizing and enhancing program delivery across our extensive state-wide footprint, with a particular focus on five key areas: Client Experience, Staff Experience, Program Policy, Program Evaluation, and Quality Assurance.

Youll lead a diverse team spread across the state, driving improvements in these vital domains. Your influence will extend to managing and growing the support staff under your purview, which includes designing new roles and welcoming new leadership to ensure the sustainability of your initiatives.

Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your role, and you will work closely with your counterpart, the Deputy Chief Program Officer of Program Operations. Together, you will engage in strategic work planning and vision-setting for the Department, jointly determining its priorities and direction.

An essential aspect of your work will involve bridging gaps between different regions within our organization. Your goal will be to shift from a fragmented regional approach to a more cohesive, statewide strategy.

All your efforts will be closely aligned with the integration of a racial equity framework, consistent with Brilliant Corners' ongoing commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, and Belonging (DEIB) initiatives. Your role will play an integral part in advancing these principles as we continue to make strides toward a more equitable and inclusive organization.

  • Client Experience: Lead efforts to enhance the experience of our clients across the state, ensuring their needs and goals are at the forefront of program design and implementation.
  • Staff Experience: Create an environment where our dedicated staff can thrive, implementing strategies that support professional growth, job satisfaction, wellness and retention.
  • Program Policy: Develop and streamline program policies, ensuring they align with best practices, regulatory requirements, and Brilliant Corners' mission.
  • Program Evaluation: Implement rigorous evaluation processes to measure program effectiveness and equitable outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance initiatives, maintaining the highest standards of service delivery and compliance with contractual obligations.

Professional Experience

  • At least 10 years working in a social justice, human services, non-profit management, healthcare, or a public policy setting. Preference for candidates who have designed and/or operated Housing First programs.
  • At least 8 years building and managing a team.
  • Demonstrated leadership as evidenced by increasing levels of responsibility and management over the course of the candidates career.

  • Comfort with budgets, government contracts, and complex braiding of resources
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • Comfort using data to improve systems and drive decision-making.

Brilliant Corners has adopted (as of April 15, 2022) a Vaccination and Testing Policy in order to safely provide services to our contractors, clients, and vendors. Salary range for this position is $170,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year/exempt. This position is being offered at $170,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year/exempt.
