We are currently hiring an Employment Services Manager in St. Louis, MO

Location: St. Louis, surrounding counties and community sites

Schedule: Shifts vary depending on the needs of the individuals served and can be days or evenings, split shifts & weekends

Travel: Travel Required St. Louis Metro

Salary: $45 - $50K per year depending on experience

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Community Employment, the Employment Services Manager is responsible for facilitating vocational training services which provide people who have different abilities opportunities to work with integrated teams and receive work support as neededachieving their desired goals.

Ensures the implementation and provision of services required by Missouri Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. Manages Placement Services and specific Job Coaching services staff. Understands services required under funding agency contracts and trains staff on expectations and requirements. Ensures quality services are provided to clients including vocational exploration, job development, and counseling for persons living with disabilities as well as other services to determine persons strengths and weaknesses. Provides 1 - 1 on-site direction, support, supervision, and case management. Provides job placement assistance to clients based on program or contract need. Case management duties include communicating with customers, state agencies, guardians, managers, supervisors, co-workers and assist the client to improve performance, resolve any concerns, achieve goals, ensure satisfaction and to document and submit reports for funding and record keeping.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Client Relations

Promote a culture of person-centered services that advances the Companys mission to provide quality care and services in a community-based setting to individuals with disabilities. Ensure a high rate of client satisfaction. Communicate regularly and effectively with clients regarding progress toward goals and program success. Review client files and determine their individual needs.Demonstrate our Company values to achieve optimum performance levels and achieve goals and objectives. Provide training and guidance to staff to complete services and procedures as assigned. Based on referrals from funding agency, complete documents with clients to start and complete services.

2. Community Worksite Development

Work with businesses in the local community to identify potential assessment and jobs for individuals with disabilities. Assist clients in securing employment based on the clients goals and interests. Promote clients for employment with community employers and develop working relationships with local businesses to provide candidates for job openings. Provide employer contacts to placement reports including relevant contact information, wage, benefits, hours of work, duties to be performed and other information for placement reports. Conduct job search support including meeting managers to discuss job openings and ways to assist clients and job-related needs. Maintain on-going contact with managers of clients currently working to check on client progress and assist with any concerns or problems. Track employer contact information and job leads each week.

3. Client Services, Training

Understand services required under funding agency contracts and trains staff on expectations. Review new files and referrals. Complete initial meetings and packets for clients entering Employment Services and Title XX from Challenge Unlimited Services or community. Ensure new clients have scheduled appointments with people with disabilities and applicable guardians. Contact individuals that have been referred by funding agency or referred by other agencies and or self-referrals to schedule initial services meeting. Provide an overview of the company and services available. Set up case files. Maintain program and client tracking to assist with evaluation of effectiveness and efficiency. Assist with providing support for needed linkage of clients to community services such as Mental Health agencies, public transportation, food stamps, social security benefits and Medicaid, if applicable.

4. Documentation

Ensure Company has up-to-date information for each client case file.Generate reports for individual funding agencies including coaching, progress reports, chronological notes, Individual Service Plans (ISPs), service hours and staffing. Facilitate and lead efforts on Quantum records and maintenance for tracking and billing of clients and services.

5. Effective Leadership

Lead team and place people in positions where they can succeed. Hire, train, and empower team members to effectively oversee their areas of responsibility. Encourage effective outcomes and accountability. Plan, monitor, and appraise job results; evaluate team for continual improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness as assigned. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures. Mentor and develop the team through training, problem resolution, and performance evaluation. Participate in Manager training. Help the Employment Services team maintain quality services and meet outcomes in both Illinois and Missouri.Maintain up to date understanding of the expectations for each program and techniques that will provide best practices and quality outcomes. Gain working understanding of services and outcome requirements for paid contract services. Provide staff support for the electronic recordkeeping system, support services for clients, and other proficiencies needed to perform employment services. Provide ideas for training from outside agencies to enrich staff capabilities. Build an effective Company culture that embodies our Company values to achieve goals and objectives.

Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or H.S. Diploma and Training in related field with 5 years relevant experience.

Experience: 1+ years of supervisory experience in a sales or job placement or social services role. Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities, Mental Illness, and other disabilities. Additional experience in job development, placement, sales, or training is preferred.

CPR, 1st Aid, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training provided by the company must be successfully completed within the first 4 months to be certified and annually thereafter for CPR, 1st Aid and CPI to maintain the position.

Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Background Checks:

Must pass criminal background check.

Must pass various State and Federal registry checks.

Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check

Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria, maintain valid drivers license and be 21 or older to drive on Company business.

Driving:

Use of personal insured vehicle for Company-related travel is required.

Movement: Kneeling is required to perform CPR practice sessions; complete skills testing and use as required. Occasionally bending, reaching, and twisting; occasionally climbing stairs and/or ladders squatting; occasionally pushing/ pulling a rolling pallet jack loaded with product.

Lifting: May need to lift or carry up to 50 lbs. to assist a client to their feet from a lying or sitting position, to help with waling or for the Client to change positions.
