ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING OPERATOR (DED/WAAM)

Phillips Corporation is growing the team at its Danville, Virginia additive manufacturing lab. This one-of-a-kind program supports the rapid digitalization of the U.S. Navy supply chain in support of the new Columbia-class submarine.

As the Additive Manufacturing Technician, you will be the go-to person on the shop floor for all things DED as you partner with program management and our engineering team to continuously improve our shop's production of qualification parts for this vital project.

Your knowledge and experience of CAM software and robotic welding systems, and knowledge of pre- and post-processes for additive manufacturing will make you an indispensable part of our team.

If you have experience with Gefertec, EOS or AML3D then we want to talk to you.

Your work will also include:

  • Being the go-to person when it comes to Operation of DED/WAAM Additive Manufacturing systems.
  • Being very proficient with industrial welding automation and controls, robotic arc welding, and offline programming and simulation.
  • Being the leader in multi-axis programming.
  • Being a master lead of projects by providing technical oversite, coordinating resources, managing expectations, and preparing and delivering the results to the client while meeting the scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Providing expert technical welding engineering support to all aspects of quality, manufacturing and engineering.
  • Bringing out-of-the-box thinking and understanding of production manufacturing.

Compensation at Phillips is based on the market and your contribution. The expected pay range for a qualified person in this role is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00 annually. If you have a different suggestion, please mention it on your application.
