Phillips Corporation is growing the team at its Danville, Virginia additive manufacturing lab. This one-of-a-kind program is supporting the rapid digitalization of the U.S. Navy supply chain in support of the new Columbia-class submarine.
As the Additive Manufacturing Technician: Friction Stir, you will be the go-to person on the shop floor for all things friction stir as you partner with program management and our engineering team to continuously improve our shop's production of qualification parts for this vital project.
Your knowledge and experience of CNC operation and CAM software will make you an indispensable part of our team.
Your work will also include:
- Being the go-to person when it comes to the operation of friction stir manufacturing systems.
- Being the leader in multi-axis programming.
- Being a master lead of projects by providing technical oversite, coordinating resources, managing expectations, and preparing and delivering the results to the client while meeting the scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
- Attending friction-stir training so that you will become an industry-leading operator and provide the team with next-level understanding of friction stir additive.
- Bringing out-of-the-box thinking and understanding of production manufacturing.
