Job Description:

As an Assistant Coach, you will play a crucial role in supporting our current coaches and ensuring the success of our programs. This is a part-time position, working between 10 and 15 hours per week to start with room to grow. You must be available to work MondayFriday between the hours of 9 a.m - 4 p.m. Hourly compensation is between $20-$22, depending on experience. Our classes are taught onsite at childcare centers and preschools located within Union, Morris, Essex, and Middlesex counties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead coaches at schools with classes that have larger enrollment numbers.
• Step in to lead classes when a coach is unavailable due to illness or other reasons.
• Distribute marketing materials and supplies to our coaches to support program promotion.
• Collaborate with the coaching team to ensure smooth class operations.
• Engage with children and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Help maintain safety and supervision during classes.
• Learn the Amazing Athletes curriculum and coaching techniques
  

Requirements

• Enthusiasm for sports and working with young children.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Ability to adapt to various coaching situations and class sizes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Background in sports, fitness, or education is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Have reliable transportation, as you will be driving to multiple locations each day to assist lead coaches with teaching classes.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Paid training and equipment will be provided

Benefits

Once a full schedule of classes becomes available, and you have gained experience and confidence in the role, you will be promoted to the position of "Coach." As a Coach, you will have your own set schedule of classes and play a more independent role in delivering our programs.
