Our client, a unique Gaming company, is seeking an Art Director to join their all-star team. In this artistic leadership position, you'll spearhead team growth and collaborate closely with project leads, executives, and key partners. Our ideal contender possesses a command of Unreal Engine, an impeccable acumen for aesthetic finesse, extraordinary prowess in both visual and oral articulation, and a profound grasp of the full gamut of cutting-edge game production.


Responsibilities

  • Set quality standards for all game elements, working closely with design, tech, and narrative teams
  • Guide and inspire artists, managing art tasks within project limits and providing clear direction and mentorship
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to craft a captivating vision that matches the game's narrative and tech constraints
  • Communicate effectively with the game development team, domain experts, and management for seamless art integration and inclusive development
  • Elevate the gaming sector with innovative design aligning social impact and business outcomes, staying current with industry trends for compelling art direction

Requirements

  • 5 - 10+ years exp in game development, showcasing high visual standards, with Senior or Lead Artist roles on shipped titles
  • Proficient in Unreal Engine (preferably UE5)
  • Expertise in navigating technical limitations to realize artistic visions
  • Exceptional leadership and communication in a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Diverse experience in real-time art: concept, character, animation, environment, VFX, lighting, and shading
  • Strong traditional art skills: drawing, painting, illustration, or concept art
  • Proven track record in interdisciplinary, deadline-driven settings
  • Effective communication of complex visual concepts
  • Creativity, adaptability, and art team leadership
  • Proactive problem-solving and collaborative communication within the Leads team
