Responsibilities

• Spearhead technical dialogues to decipher business needs, transforming them into functional specifications, including crafting Statements of Work (SOW) and Bills of Materials (BOM) for clients.
• Offer seasoned network engineering consultation (e.g., assessment and design) alongside robust implementation services for contemporary secure networking ecosystems.
• Work alongside other engineering resources
• Conduct in-depth root cause analysis for critical outages and incidents, ensuring optimal network performance and security.
• Configure Fortinet firewalls, switches, access points and other security solutions.
• Maintain evolving industry certifications and participate in continuous professional development.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN administration and concepts including DHCP, DNS, VLANs, firewalls, NAT, wireless technology, and the ability to configure switches required. Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining SD-WAN highly desired.
• Proficiency in Fortinet's products and solutions is highly valued.
• Fortinet NSE 4 or FCA Cyber Security certification is strongly preferred.
• Fortinet NSE 6 (FortiSwitch or Secure Wireless LAN) or FCP Network Security certifications are strongly preferred.
• In-depth understanding of network engineering, security (endpoint and network firewall) architecture and design.
• Experienced with implementation of both network and security technologies.
• Ability to quickly analyze and assess issues and collaborate in real-time.
• Ability to author and follow defined processes and procedures.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a broader team to achieve objectives.
• Ability to follow defined methodologies to ensure a successful outcome of delivery engagements.
• Up-to-date understanding of modern security threats and defense methods.
• Able to clearly communicate detailed technical concepts in both oral and written formats.
• Strong understanding of modern routing and switching technologies including cloud networking concepts.
• Proven track record in guiding clients through the evaluation and selection of technical solutions to address business requirements in a consultative manner.
