ILearn is looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Proofreader to join our team. As a Proofreader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of our written materials. You will be responsible for reviewing and correcting spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors, as well as ensuring consistency in style and tone. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in English and has exceptional attention to detail. If you have a passion for language and love finding and fixing errors, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Review and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors in written materials
• Ensure consistency in style, tone, and terminology throughout documents
• Check for clarity, coherence, and conciseness in written content
• Identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in facts, dates, names, and figures
• Collaborate with writers, editors, and other team members to ensure the accuracy and quality of written materials
• Follow established guidelines and standards for proofreading
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience as a professional proofreader or in a similar role
• Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot even the smallest errors
• Exceptional knowledge of style guides, such as AP Stylebook or Chicago Manual of Style
• Familiarity with proofreading tools and software
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
