GENERAL PURPOSE

Implementing offshore HSE portfolio within the company IMS.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors the daily Health & Safety performance of the company and identifies issues that require corrective action.

Provides direction to the Health & Safety supervisors in the implementation of all Projects Health & Safety plan and corrective actions to improve performance.

Facilitates the review and development of the Projects Health & Safety plan.

Recommends the formulation of new / revised policies and procedures and ensure dissemination and implementation across the project.

Participates with managers / supervisors in departmental planning and program development where appropriate.

Provides directions and facilities development of Health & Safety orientation / training programs for manual and non-manual personnel.

Participates in or conducts Health & Safety training for the Project personnel as appropriate.

Oversight of the auditing of Health and Safety practices across the project; the documentation of findings; the determination of corrective actions; and the monitoring of implementation plans for corrective actions.

Represents the Health & Safety department in senior meetings with clients, contractors, and department managers to advise them of developing Health & Safety issues which will affect their operations.

Participates in Health and Safety personnel recruitment, training, and development.

Where appropriate, participates in accident / incident investigations, the documentation of causative factors, and the preparation of reports.

Highlighting Employee concerns about workplace hazards, unsafe practices and QHSE Performance.

QHSSE RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the organizations policy commitments and other applicable Arrangements related to its QHSE management system.

Take reasonable care of their own health and safety.

Take reasonable care not to put other people - fellow employees and members of the public - at risk by what they do or don't do in the course of their work.

Notify their line manager about any health, safety, or environmental concerns they have.

Suggest improvements and being active in the general improvement of all Systems and methods of work to ensure Company operations are carried out in a personally and environmentally safe, reliable and cost-effective way.

Requirements

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of any discipline
  • HSE Courses
  • Professional Certificate or diploma in Quality.

KNOWLEDGE

Very Good knowledge of HSE Standards & Diving Standards. (OSHA, NEBOSH, NIOSH, IOSH, IMCA, IOGP, ISO, SMS, etc....)

EXPERIENCE

+3 years in the field of offshore oil & gas industry.

+2 years experience in offshore projects HSE.

SKILLS

Excellent knowledge in Microsoft office.

Fluent in English written & spoken.

COMPETENCIES

Ability to work under pressure & respond to simultaneous deadlines.

Multi-tasking & time management.
