Supplemental Information Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Adult Basic Education Paraeducator/Intake Specialist. The Adult Basic Education Paraeducator/Intake Specialist is located in the Adult Basic Education Paraeducator/ Intake Specialist Department. This is a full-time position. This position is open for recruitment. REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Education COMPENSATION: Anticipated starting salary will be commensurate with education and work experience. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Required Education: - Bachelors Degree from a regionally accredited college or university with experience in teaching, training and/or counseling adult learners
Job Concepts Supervisory Duties: Professional Duties and Responsibilities- Answer phones and greet in-person guests
- Assist new and continuing students with the admission process
- Perform data entry and reconciliation in the SIS and DRC databases
- Collaborate with the Dean/Director to review student data
- Conduct testing as needed
- Maintain administrative files
- Assign student course assignments in the training software
- Collaborate with the Dean/Director and instructors to assess and meet student needs
- Assist with program/instructional development
- Participate in outreach efforts
- Report and monitor staff/faculty IT issues
- Maintain inventory of department supply needs
