LHH is working with a well-established and continuously expanding company in the West Plano area that is adding a new Senior Staff Accountant to their team. They are one of the top companies in their industry in the entire country, and they are growing at a steady pace. They are a people-focused company and have been in business over 40 years. The ideal candidate for this role will have 2-3 years of full-cycle accounting experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Diligently compile and maintain recurring journal entries as well as ad hoc entries as needed.
• Ensure the timely and precise preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.
• Play a key role in supporting the timely and accurate execution of month-end close procedures, contributing to related reporting activities.
• Collaborate in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP standards.
• Assist in upholding compliance with internal control guidelines, contributing to the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
• Assist in the fulfillment of internal and external audit requests, ensuring a seamless and efficient audit process.
• Contribute to the documentation of accounting procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance transparency and efficiency.
• Collaborate with other accounting functions on an as-needed basis to ensure cohesive and efficient financial operations.
• Demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve issues while making well-informed and sound judgments.
• Assist management with ad hoc requests, including participation in special projects and initiatives to support the organization's goals.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting
• CPA a plus but not required
• 2-3 years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• Keen attention to detail
