International Paper, a major pulp and paper producer, is seeking its next generation of top process operators for the Henderson, KY Mill. We are looking for dependable women and men with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills to fill our challenging positions. Starting Annual Salary of $48,000
Ability to increase base salary to roughly $62,000 within the first 12 months
Additional Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) payout of 4% quarterly
Up to 8% Quarterly Gainsharing Payout
The ideal candidates will have on-the-job success in safety, attendance, and quality of work; excellent teamwork, cooperation and problem solving skills; a minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, previous mobile equipment experience is preferred, working knowledge of standard administrative duties (typing, Word, Excel, etc), able to lift 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, willing to cross train in other areas and skills to enhance capabilities.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- At least 18 years of age.
- Eligible for employment in the U.S.
- High school diploma or GED.
Must be willing to meet the following requirements:
- Undergo a drug screen for illicit use of drugs as a condition of employment and submit to periodic drug screens.
- Work any shift and/or a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
- Work overtime on a regular basis and with last minute notification.
- Work holidays and/or weekends on a regular basis
- Wear required safety equipment.
- Operate or work in industrial conditions (may be warm/hot, dusty/dirty, around hazardous chemicals, noise, heavy machinery or elevated working surfaces) with proper safety training and safety protection.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Relevant work experience such as:
- Power generation/boiler operator
- Warehouse/inventory system and fork lift/clamp truck
- Lean Manufacturing Tools/5S
- Basic industrial maintenance skills
