The Dining and Hospitality Services Systems Manager will be primarily responsible for oversight of all technology systems of UCCS Dining and Hospitality Services (DHS). This includes Cbord Food Service Suite, point of sale systems, printers, and general IT systems coordination and setup for desktops, laptops, and company phones. The Systems Manager will work closely with on-campus partners including the Office of Information Technology. This position also works directly with DHS Chefs and Managers to ensure all technology needs are met.

Job Duties:

  • Ensuring the smooth function and data entry into the Cbord Food Service Suite database.
  • Serve as the DHS liaison to Transact and the Office of Information Technology.
  • Provide recommendations to DHS leadership on technology advancements, efficiencies, and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain the Quadpoint point of sale systems.
  • Troubleshoot departmental technical issues.
  • Maintain technology inventory.
  • Collaborate with various DHS stakeholders, such as Culinary, Operations, and Administration to understand their technology needs to provide necessary support and assistance.
  • Provide technical support for mobile ordering.
  • Interview, hire, train, coach, and evaluate student employees.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with Federal, State, local, system, and institutional technology policies and procedures.
  • In cooperation with the department Human Resources Liaison, ensure accountability and timely implementation of employee feedback when necessary.
  • Ensures the timely submission of leave records and time sheets for employees.

Job Competencies:

  • Ability to understand, demonstrate & use all the Dining Business Systems. Use troubleshooting skills to identify & fix hardware & software failures or problems.
  • Must pay close attention to detail, analyze data & interpret information to convey consequences & recommend courses of action. Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, ability to be flexible to adjust to ambiguity, constantly shifting priorities & fast paced changing situations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly & effectively with a variety of individuals at all levels, including the ability to convey technical & non-technical information accurately as well as procedures to staff.
  • Strong teamwork skills to coordinate, cooperate & work with Dining managers in solving their system needs & making improvements to their locations systems workflows.
  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the data to ensure financial accountability & nutritional accuracy, respond to system problems & provide on-going maintenance & upgrading of equipment.
  • Provide on-going systems training & training materials to managers & staff; prepare, update & distribute procedure & equipment care manuals. Prepare & present system's procedure training for managers & staff.
  • Will need to work across campus and remote locations in kitchens, front of house and at a desk keyboarding.
  • Develop strategies to enhance the performance of Dining Services use of the CBORD & NutriSlice systems. Stay current on future system development, enhancements, and newly developed best practices.

Work Location: On-site

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

What We Offer:

Salary Range: Generally starting at $50,000 - $60,000 annually.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

This position is dependent on the availability of auxiliary revenues funding.
