THE POSITION Are you a hands-on person who has what it takes to keep our bridges and structures safe for travelers this winter? If you have journeyman level knowledge and proficiency in several trades, join the Department of Transportation in Allegheny County today! DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you can apply your experience in carpentry, welding, masonry, electrical, and plumbing to a variety of projects in our county. Get ready to construct concrete formwork, place and finish concrete, install environmental controls, construct of temporary shoring, weld metal support structures and replacement parts, paint surfaces and more.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment. Shifts vary seasonally.
- Work hours are 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: - Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Necessary Special Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
