Tucker Safety Products provides product training as well as marketing and sales initiatives for our dealers. Tucker Safety Products has developed relationships with large retailers (e.g., Costco, THD) that provide for lead generation opportunities for the Tucker Safety Products systems dealers in which the dealers must meet the retailers guidelines for program success. The Regional Business Development Manager (RBDM) position is to drive above market rate growth through dealers in the region by developing trusting, respected relationships with the dealers in the region. The RBDMs work with dealerships to implement specific growth programs that have been developed by Tucker Safety Products and the dealers. Additionally, the RBDM will work with each dealer to gain more wallet share where dealers may be purchasing core products for other manufacturers. The key to success in this position is the ability to leverage dealer network best practices into dealerships that can implement them for significant growth. The RBDM has the flexibility to work remotely.

Supervisor Responsibilities: none

Starting Rate: 85k-115k

General Description:

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and implementation of growth strategies in the region.

  • Identify market opportunities to expand and grow the Tucker Safety Products dealer network.

  • Partner cross-functionally with product team to align and prioritize objectives, ensure integrated go-to-market planning, and share best practices and resources where appropriate.

  • Cultivate strong relationships and with existing Dealers in order to inspire a culture of top-line growth.

  • Analyze performance metrics to deliver optimal business results and determine impactful drivers/levers.

  • Develop and execute targeted sales business plan.

  • Develop and execute training programs for new and existing dealers targeted to business opportunities.

  • Analyze and understand competitors in order to differentiate and position Tucker Safety products/programs to drive sales initiatives.

  • Prioritize best opportunities to pursue using most appropriate criteria, utilizing the 80/20 rule.

  • Miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skill, Abilities, Education and Experience

  • 5 years sales experience within dealer/distributor channel

  • Experience with consumer durable goods and branded products required.

  • An understanding, appreciation and/or passion for water quality improvement and related/similar businesses preferred.

  • Proven track record of dealer channel sales expertise and success, with hands-on knowledge of strategy and execution

  • Proven leadership with strong track record of exceeding sales goals

  • Outstanding communication skills with ability to manage a broad variety of different personalities within the dealer network.

  • Customer Focus: ensures internal and external customer satisfaction.

  • Results Oriented: uses hard work and drive to accomplish quality outcomes.

  • Business Acumen: understands markets, culture, and business.

  • Financial Acumen: understands the numbers and is able to explain them.

  • Customer Focus: ensures internal and external customer satisfaction.

Working Environment/ Physical Activities

Work Requirements (Travel %, Safety Equipment, etc.)

  • Ability to travel 50%-75%

  • Check and maintain vehicle standards and other equipment.

  • Always comply with all Company policies and requirements.

  • Ensure timely delivery of projects to Company standards.

  • Must be able lift/carry 20 lbs.
