Medway, Maine: We invite a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker to practice in a respected healthcare center near Millinocket, in north-central Maine. Join the terrific behavioral health staff of an award-winning Federally Qualified Health Center based in nearby Lincoln. With 120+ employees, this nonprofit organization serves 24,000 residents in 19 towns, providing primary care, walk-in care, occupational health, prenatal care, podiatry, behavioral health, dental care, school-based health and patient education services in 6 locations. With federal grant funding, a sliding fee scale helps underserved patients.
In this role, you will assess and treat clients of most ages, from young children to the elderly. You will see people as individuals, couples, families, or in group therapy. It is expected that you will use psychotherapy and make referrals as appropriate, to help people with psychological, emotional, substance abuse/addiction and social concerns.
Candidates who are certified by the State of Maine as Clinical Supervisors, and those with more experience with substance use counseling, will receive priority attention.
This behavioral team collaborates with law enforcement, probation/parole agents, schools, employers and other treatment providers as requested and released by the clients. You will provide case management services and crisis intervention as needed, reporting to the organizations Medical Director. This is a professionally rewarding position in a welcoming organization!
You will enjoy a convenient weekday schedule your choice of five 8-hour days, or four 10-hour days. Your schedule will be split between this office in Medway and a sister site 11 miles away in Millinocket. Each location provides a highly supportive setting with modern resources, up-to-date technology, and a fully integrated EMR system.
