The VA Alexandria Medical Center in Alexandria/Pineville, LA, is seeking a full-time, Board Certified, Diagnostic Radiologist to serve as a member of its Radiology Team. Competitive Starting Salary $325,000 - $400,000 Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm Maintain a workload with relative value unit standards and monthly reports of individual with relative value unit measurements Successfully obtain approval of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Orders for scheduling and imaging, protocolling of approved (MRI) and (CT) Orders, interpretation and implementation including supervision of technical staff, and dictation of imaging exams with learners present on many occasions Provides professional guidance for all necessary Diagnostic Radiology Services to include General Diagnostic Radiography (plain films), Body Imaging (CT and MRI)), Neuroradiology (CT and MRI), Musculoskeletal Imaging (MCT and MRI), in addition to Fluoroscopy utilizing oral and IV contrast technique Provide reading, interpretation, and submission of Radiology reports in Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) Educate Radiologic Technology and Ultrasound students, as well as Physician Assistant Interns from Louisiana State University Alexandria (LSUA) in Alexandria, Northwestern State University (NSU), Natchitoches, Louisiana State University Shreveport (LSUS) in Shreveport, LA Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
Additional Requirements: Board Certified in Radiology Additional skills required include all areas of vascular, small parts and general Ultrasound Desirable skills include Subspecialty Fellowship Training in Musculoskeletal applications of Computerized Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Ultrasound.
