The Role at a Glance

This position will support both compliance/legal work and incident response work for Lincolns privacy office. The role will perform and deliver on routine assignments/projects while leveraging and applying privacy and compliance knowledge. The role will support various essential privacy compliance functions required by the Corporate Privacy Office, in particular, implementing and promoting awareness of privacy policies, trainings, and initiatives, investigating privacy incidents, and performing compliance reviews and risk analyses.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for privacy, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Promotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives.
  • Performs and delivers on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of privacy.
  • Identifies and communicates to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for privacy team.
  • Develops relationships with internal business clients and technology groups, understands their business and processes and provide analysis, support and guidance for privacy incident management and related matters.
  • Prepares analysis of pertinent enacted legislation and/or adopted regulations.
  • Works to understand company structure and evaluate applicability of laws and regulations.
  • Works with internal business clients to help develop, collect, and review documentation related to privacy, data security, and cybersecurity obligations.
  • Participates in testing of business unit protocols for privacy, data security, and cybersecurity obligations.
  • Manages the investigation, response, tracking, escalation, and analysis of privacy incidents.
  • Resolves privacy incidents within established timeframes; ensuring actions taken are sound and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with maintaining playbooks, policies, document repositories, and ensuring timely updates.
  • Assists with developing and maintaining processes, dashboards, and reporting systems to ensure compliance objectives.
  • Escalates privacy issues or concerns to management, as needed.
  • Complies with departmental and regulatory guidelines relating to timeliness, record-keeping laws and regulations, documentation, and reporting.

What were looking for

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 1 - 3+ Years in compliance and/or privacy experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
  • No licensure or certification required; IAPP Foundations program completion or IAPP certification preferred.

Pay Range: $51,900 - $89,800

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincolns total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincolns standard benefits package.
