Senior Program / Portfolio Manager

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY.... (Ability to work Remote)

The Senior Program / Portfolio Manager is a leadership role within our Digital business unit Program Management Office. The ideal candidate would be a dynamic and motivated Senior Program Manager with the skills and passion to mature our portfolio management practices. This position is part of our Global Product & Technology organization.

The Senior Program / Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the portfolio and program management practices, tools and communications that supports one or more of our Digital product portfolios. This role works closely with the Engineering Leader and the Product Management Leader for each of their assigned portfolios. Together this team of 3 drives the portfolio strategy, the portfolio roadmaps and sets the portfolio outcome based measures that establishes the guiding direction for all team members assigned to the portfolio.

YOU WILL

  • Provide Program / Portfolio Management Services
  • Partner with the Engineering & Product Leader of each assigned portfolio to ensure a clear vision, strategy and outcome measures are set. And to develop a supporting roadmap that guides this portfolio towards the needed outcomes.
  • Establish and facilitate appropriate Portfolio Management governance for all assigned portfolios. This includes intaking new ideas, leading a team through evaluating new ideas, monitoring execution, reporting on status and facilitating stakeholder decision making forums.
  • Foster close working relations within the cross-functional portfolio team required to achieve business success within assigned portfolios. This includes Engineering, Product Marketing, Product Management, Go-to-market execution teams and executive leadership associated with that portfolio.
  • Design & establish portfolio reporting practices that span from executive summary needs through team execution needs.
  • Be accountable for achievement of portfolio objectives that are tied to the Digital Business unit success measures.
  • Assess and articulate required resourcing needs, people, funding & tools required to increase confidence in achieving portfolio outcomes.
  • Create & track Portfolio / Program schedules as needed to achieve portfolio outcomes.
  • Encourage a Continuous Improvement Culture.
  • Implement and measure adoption of our Product Management methodology.
  • Implement and measure adoption of our Go-to-market Program Management approach.
  • Provide center of excellence services to Product Management & GTM execution teams.
  • Establish & lead a continuous improvement culture within assigned portfolios.
  • Focus on regular delivery of improved practices; following best practices for change management.

YOU'LL GET TO...

  • Work with senior leaders and executives to develop and achieve portfolio objectives.
  • Work in a fast paced, change prone environment that stimulates creative thinking and problem solving.
  • Influence and manage continuous improvement of program process, practices, tools and initiatives.
  • Lead small to large scale programs and cross functional meetings, delivering program goals via leading and aligning a team of functional experts to focus on obtaining the same goals.
  • Translate the occurrence of obstacles and or issues into clear actionable problem statement insights and provide thoughtful recommendations to local in-country and executive teams as required.
  • Build consensus around recommendations and gain alignment across all stakeholders on portfolio plans ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality deliverables.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Education & Job Experience

  • 10 + years relevant experience in a Program Manager role. Portfolio Management experience is very desirable
  • 5 + years of demonstrated Technology proficiency in a digital technology industry role.
  • PMO leadership role experience, and or Project Management Certification (PMP or Prince2) or equivalent.
  • Experienced in tracking and monitoring a long-term Program Portfolio Roadmap.
  • Versed is both waterfall and agile project management models
  • Proven track record of leading change and introducing process frameworks.
  • Experience in leading the GTM efforts for a portfolio of strategic product & services that delivered commercial results and achieved or exceeded KPI targets.
  • MBA Degree is a plus
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong executive facilitation skills and experience related to strategy development and problem solving.
  • Solid strategic analytical & cross-functional influencing skills
  • Comfort in a rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities, operation with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills (including presentations), as well as listening and interpretation skills.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity, results orientated
  • International experience.
  • Direct work experience as part of a large multinational organization a significant plus.
  • For international located positions: Bilingual candidates preferred, Fluent in English required, fluent in local market language preferred.
