Description

Hire Resolves client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Structural Design Engineer to join their team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a project team of structural engineers and drafters
• Prepare scope of work and budget estimates, and monitor progress
• Forecast workload and schedules
• Develop structural design criteria for projects
• Analyze and design structures for water and wastewater treatment, and other facilities
• Prepare structural design calculations and check calculations prepared by others
• Direct the development of structural drawings and models
• Coordinate design with other disciplines
• Review or write specifications
• Develop new specifications as needed
• Perform engineering services during construction, including review of shop drawing submittals and response to contractor questions
• Conduct condition assessments of existing structures and prepare reports
• Manage tasks on large projects or manage a number of medium projects
• Participate in new business development
• Meet budget and schedules on assigned projects while maintaining quality
• Act as a mentor for junior staff
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelors degree
• 3+ years of related experience as a Structural Engineer
• Knowledgeable in the design of structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, aluminum, and wood
• Proficient with structural engineering design software such as RISA 3D
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
• Well organized and able to work independently
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment on projects ranging from studies to detailed design
• Position open to U.S. citizens
