Aon is looking for a Finance Senior Manager - Audit

The Senior Audit Manager is an audit expert with advanced and diversified knowledge who is primarily responsible managing the completion of audit projects in line with professional and department standards, as well as assisting the Internal Audit Directors / Senior Directors in the development of risk based audit plans, which are responsive to emerging risks. The Senior Audit Manager is able to quickly develop knowledge of and manage complex projects or assignments that may be broad in nature and require development of innovative or original solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide support, direction and oversight to staff on assigned projects to ensure understanding of the project goals and proper development of audit approach and objectives.
  • Oversee the completion of projects utilizing an agile audit approach within budgeted timeframes and provide staff feedback at the conclusion of projects.
  • Establish appropriate staffing levels for audit projects, including the use of external resources as necessary.
  • Provide a first or second level review to ensure audit workpapers support work performed and audit objectives and are in line with professional and department standards.
  • Influence and build consensus with business unit management on audit results.
  • Communicate audit findings observations and recommendations through the preparation of reports to business unit management.
  • Monitor the status of management corrective action plans to ensure that significant process and control issues have been remediated.
  • Provide administrative/people management support, such as, performance management, coaching and training and development, to assigned direct reports.
  • Develop a strong knowledge base and level of expertise in the operations of assigned lines of business or functional areas.
  • Manage relationships with senior business leadership in assigned areas through periodic meetings for the purposes of knowledge sharing and risk assessment.
  • Document changes to business operations as part of the dynamic risk assessment for assigned areas and provide input to Internal Audit Leadership on recommended audit projects for the annual audit plan.
  • Collaborate with global colleagues on department/corporate-wide initiatives and ad-hoc special projects.

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required:

  • 7+ plus years of audit experience with a large multi-national, professional services or public accounting firm
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of and experience in professional services, insurance broking or financial services firms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and interface with all levels of management within the company.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex situations and apply knowledge to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external constituencies and customers.
  • Proven people management and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of internal auditing standards and techniques.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of agile auditing concepts.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and visualization techniques.

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance or comparable business degree and should also possess professional designations/certifications, such as CPA, CIA, etc.

The target salary range for this position is $130,000 to $140,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicants education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicants geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aons annual incentive plans. The amount of the incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
