Dr. Roberto Andresen Eguiluz, Professor in Material Science Engineering is looking for a candidate proficient in Python to develop tool kits and software for analyzing biophysical data. The candidate is expected to work 20 hrs per week in a multidisciplinary research laboratory, assisting multiple research projects. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, proper code documentation practices, and an understanding of administering a Github/GitLab repository. QUALIFICATIONS Basic qualifications The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering and must have excellent written and oral communication skills. The candidate is expected to be proficient in Python to develop toolkits and software for analyzing biophysical data. The candidate will have proper code documentation practices, and an understanding of administering a Github/GitLab repository. Additional qualifications Candidates that recently graduated with CSE majors and previous experience working with biophysics experimental data, as well as highly motivated and independent applicants with evidence of having worked in personal or guided CSE projects. Preferred qualifications The successful candidate will also be have familiarity with the following packages: Nyumpy, Tkinter, Matplotlib, Scipy, and Pandas, among others, and previous research publication record.
