  • This job posting is for the purpose of forming connections with potential candidates who may be considered for future positions within FFI - Technology.
  • FFI Technology is currently reaching out to and engaging with individuals who may be a good fit for future openings that become available.

What You Will Do:

  • Work on technical teams that assist clients in selecting, implementing, testing, and optimizing financial crime compliance technology solutions, such as transaction monitoring, sanctions compliance, KYC/CDD, blockchain analysis, and fraud prevention solutions.
  • Contribute to technical projects that evaluate, test, and review documentation for the selection and implementation of BSA/AML and sanctions technology solutions. This includes choosing detection scenarios, determining scenario thresholds, and defining name matching algorithms.
  • Organize and analyze electronic information to assess its adequacy for effective analysis.
  • Identify relationships among multiple sources of information to identify duplicates, understand data flow, analyze data, and recognize patterns.
  • Analyze and interpret historical financial, operational, and transactional data.
  • Prepare reports, written analyses, and quantitative exhibits to communicate project findings and outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed records of assumptions, methodologies, and information sources used for analytical tasks.
  • Participate in client meetings to review work results.
  • Maintain a professional image both within the company and when interacting with others.

What You Will Need:

  • Willingness to relocate to either the NYC or DC area at your own expense if you are not currently based there.
  • Ability to attend internal meetings at Guidehouse's NYC or DC office and work at clients' locations as needed.
  • Ability to travel as required for engagements.
  • Minimum 1-2+ years of professional work experience.
  • Ability to perform real-time analysis using T-SQL queries.
  • Experience developing complex functions and stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with designing and working with database objects, such as tables, relationships, constraints, triggers, and views.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to database management.
  • Capability to independently analyze and derive insights from data in real-time.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and scripting, such as SQL, Snowflake, Redshift, Python, R, and PowerShell (a plus).
  • Experience with data visualization tools, including Tibco Spotfire, Tableau, R, PowerPivot, PowerBI, and Excel.
  • Skills in transforming and loading structured data formats.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience in analyzing and visualizing data.
  • Curiosity and the ability to ask thoughtful questions and examine data from various perspectives.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience in the financial services or financial technology (fintech) industry.
  • Experience working for a management consulting or advisory company.
  • Proficiency in programming languages for data processing and model building, such as C#, C++, Java, Scala, R, and Python.
  • Understanding of transactional data, e.g., SWIFT, Fedwire, ACH, SEPA.
  • Experience with software vendors specializing in financial crimes.
  • Knowledge of data science, machine learning, and statistics.
  • Experience with developing SSIS packages and designing ETL processes for structured data formats.
  • Prior experience with BSA/AML and sanctions systems analytics, including creating and reviewing data models, calibrating/tuning systems, validating data/process flows, reviewing documentation, and performing tests and reviews.

The salary range for this position is $77,500.00-$155,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, security clearances, licenses, certifications, and business needs.
