WATER PLANT OPERATOR TRAINEE:
Minimum Training and Experience
Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and one year of experience in a water distribution, wastewater collection, or water or sewerage piping systems.
Necessary Special Requirements
Must possess a valid Class E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
Must progress with training, complete coursework, pass the licensing exam, and obtain and maintain the Class C Water Treatment Plant Operator license within two (2) years from the official hire date, as a condition of continued employment.
Must also progress with training, complete coursework, pass the licensing exam, and obtain and maintain the Class B Water Treatment Plant Operator license within three (3) years upon obtaining the Class C Water Treatment Plant Operator license and reclassification as a Water Plant Operator - I, as a condition of continued employment.
WATER PLANT OPERATOR I:
Minimum Training and Experience
Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and at least one (1) year of experience in the operation and maintenance of a public water system water treatment plant.
Necessary Special Requirements
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
Must possess and maintain a Class C Water Treatment Plant Operator license, as currently outlined in Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 62.602-300 Qualifications for Operator Licensure.
Must progress with training, complete coursework, pass the licensing exam, and obtain and maintain the Class B Water Treatment Plant Operator license within three (3) years from the official hire date, as a condition of continued employment.

WATER PLANT OPERATOR II:
Minimum Training and Experience
Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and at least three (3) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a public water system water treatment plant.

Applicant must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
Must possess and maintain a Class B Water Treatment Plant Operator license, as currently outlined in Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 62.602-300 Qualifications for Operator Licensure, as a condition of continued employment.
Must possess a valid Class E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
WATER PLANT OPERATOR III:
Minimum Training and Experience
Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and at least five (5) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a public water system water treatment plant.
Necessary Special Requirements
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
Must possess and maintain a Class A Water Treatment Plant Operator license, as currently outlined in Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 62.602-300 Qualifications for Operator Licensure, as a condition of continued employment.
Must possess a valid Class E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
