Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions
- Operate production equipment to include progressive and single stage stamping press as well as other equipment used in the manufacture of precision stamped components such as metal finish machines and secondary operations machinery.
- Input data into the job tracking software system
- Ensures the correct program is loaded into production equipment
- Accurately load parts into fixtures for laser and robotic operations and/or single stage press equipment
- Troubleshoot the machine and investigates machine issues during production runs
- Maintain KanBan, Isupply and production plans levels
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment running machining equipment
- Ability to set up and run stamping presses
- Ability to read a progression strip
- Ability to comprehend and follow work instructions, SOPs and training documents, including the ability to create and document new processes
- Ability to use hand tools such as a micrometer, pin gauge, caliper and dial indicator
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
- Ability to read blueprints
- Excellent shop math skills to include fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
