We are seeking a Software Engineer with strong skills in Java development & implementation skills to join our team of creators. Our team is working in The Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) organization, specifically in Capital Markets within our advanced Cash Equities Technology team.
The Data Engineer will be working within the advanced Cash Equities Technology team to support custom development and vendor system integration. This position is for an Individual contributor to join an existing agile development team. The team is primarily responsible for all development needed to integrate vendor provided systems with internally developed infrastructure to meet business driven functional requirements and non-functional requirements such as latency, scalability and resiliency.
Specific Responsibilities include:
Design and implementation of a data-warehouse for Equities transaction data
Capture and store Equities transaction data
Design and implement efficient views and queries based on business requirements
Work closely with other development teams to provide resilient and scalable infrastructure for equities trading
Analyze latency and performance metrics and work with infrastructure engineers to identify and improve latency
Work in an agile scrum team, using Github, Jira
Use test driven development and make use of unit tests and test automation
Continuously integrate and deploy updates to the platform without impacting its resiliency or consistency
Required Skills:
10+ years of software engineering experience
7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: securities, quants, artificial intelligence, or machine learning
5+ years of ETL, data warehouse and data analytics delivery experience on internal or external cloud platforms
5 + years of Core Java experience
3+ years of experience with Java Message Service (JMS) tools such as WebSphere MQ or Solace
3+ years of Kafka Platform experience, Confluent Platform experience, or a combination of both
5+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing Oracle database solutions
5+ years of Agile experience Show Less
