We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery unit. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to provide critical care and support to mothers and newborns during the childbirth process. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, pediatricians, and anesthesiologists, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This role will require a high level of technical skill, emotional resilience, and a deep commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in our Labor & Delivery unit, your primary responsibilities will include

• Providing direct patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans related to labor and delivery.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs of mothers and newborns, interpreting patient information, and making critical decisions about necessary actions.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Providing education and support to patient families regarding post-partum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding.
• Administering medications and performing treatments for assigned patients.
• Responding to and referring incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.
• Instructing and educating patients and families on topics such as health education, disease prevention, and childbirth options.
• Participating in quality improvement activities aimed at improving patient care outcomes.
• Documenting all patient interactions on patient's medical record following established procedures.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery.
• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• Compact license or ability to obtain.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in obstetrics, including knowledge of best practices and latest developments in the field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach to care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
